Worked at the golf course and was transferred to the arena in the winter

Nobody’s perfect in this industry. Tell us your worst experience at a rink so far?
May 2007 Memorial Day weekend. We lost power to the facility and lost a sheet of ice a week before a large hockey tournament.
What are the first three things you do when you get to the rink each day?
Check compressors, Examine the ice and boards/glass, E-mails.
How do you feel ongoing professional development is helping you and your career?
It helps with making decisions effecting the operations and budgeting for the facility.
How would you explain to the average hockey parent how the ice resurfacer works to resurface the ice?
It shaves a fine layer of ice off and spreads water making a new layer
